Gobblet - A Wooden Tic-Tac-Toe Game

Gobblet - A Wooden Tic-Tac-Toe Game
Gobblet! is an all-wooden game by Blue Orange Games. It incorporates elements of tic-tac-toe (or naughts and crosses) but adds a fun twist. Each player gets three each of four different sizes of wooden playing pieces. The pieces nestle into each other.

The game comes in a wooden box with a lid that slides in. When you pull the lid out and flip it over, you find your playing board! It's a simple four by four grid. The first player places one of their largest pieces on the board. All players must put their three largest pieces on the board, then the second smallest pieces, and so on. The first player to get four in a row wins!

The game has two big twists that make it different than traditional tic-tac-toe. The first twist is that you can move any of your pieces that are on the board, instead of adding a new piece. The second twist is that you can gobble up either your own or the other player's pieces of a smaller size.

This game is beautifully made and easy to learn. It is fun for ages 7 to adult - really! It's a game that will grow with your kids and you'll have just as much fun playing it as they will. It's a great equalizer, much like the simple version of tic-tac-toe, in that the difficulty and skill levels needed are not high, but it is very fun!

I'm a big fan of games made out of real materials, and this is a wonderful one which you'll enjoy having in your game cabinet for years.
